Breaking new ground from the mainstream qualities of her flirty pop princess appeal, singer Hanne Mjøen starts off on a different foot with latest single ‘Hell With You’ via Physical Presents. The singer spent the last few months evaluating her sound and  has gravitated towards ground-breaking musical influences like Robyn, Flume and Lorde.

The songstress recently shared her feelings about releasing this track, and how her sound has changed in the last few months on socials recently: “Hi friends I wrote Hell With You in March 2019 with one of my favorite co-writers Karl Zine – and it’s been in the back of my mind ever since then. This song is very special to me, cause at the time I wrote it I had lost the drive to do my own artist project, and it inspired me to focus on writing songs for me again. Produced by the best Sondre Mjåland

Still maintaining the electro pop quirks of her former self, ‘Hell With You’s  production style takes a more jagged approach and we are not complaining one bit. The single breaks from the naive pop sweetheart complex of Hanne’s previous hits, and instead brings forward a lady that is fully aware of the weight of her decisions that she makes. Not a cautious or lighthearted track, this track focuses on the societal pressure and somewhat unwritten standards of being a female even in a more diverse and politically correct society.

Released via South America Records today ,alternative rock artist Beach Tiger track  ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ gives us  a taste of his upcoming album Yenta.  The album is scheduled to be released on the 21st May via Southern America Records. Beach Tiger definitely does not disappoint in his latest release as it proves to be the perfect recipe for his sound which permeates through the awesome vocals. If this track is anything to go by then it would definitely be worthwhile listening to the full album when released.

Stream/Download ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’

‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ has a catchy melodic tune to it and is an earworm to look out for, as the lyrics cover an interestingly rocky relationship. Beach Tiger, who sounds similar to the likes of Passion Pit, Real Estate and Imagine Dragons, brought forth his vocals in this track with uplifting indie tones in a perfect masterpiece. The lyrics are in stark contrast to the melodic tune, yet has just the right amount of spiciness to it – an auditory meal perfected by an auditory master chef. If auditory Master Chef competitions were anything to go by then, Where Do We Go From Here? is an awesome track delivering in all the right places and leading you on an auditory explosion of artistic talent.

Yenta Tracklisting

1. Run Away

2. Mr. Rock Star

3. Where Do We Go From Here?

4. Peace & Love

5. You Cannot Escape My Love

6. Take Time

Dramatic is an understatement when describing Douran’s music as his latest single ‘Inertia’ puts on a whole production of sound waves within the span of just over three minutes. Released via Allo Floride Records, this single will feature on the young Parisian composer’s upcoming EP release Avalanche next Spring.

Stream/Download ‘Inertia’ Single

The producer shared his excitement about the release & additional nuggets of information about this latest release with his fans on socials, “The 1st single of my upcoming EP Avalanche will be out this Friday, with a remix by Joachim Pastor and a live session!”

Hopping between organic & ambient textures Douran creates a daring build-up of sound that feels like it was performed by a complete orchestra. The producer has also shared the stage with renowned electronica acts (such as Solumun and Tale Of Us). That being said, we can tell that this composer works like a loose cannon in the best sense. He takes risks and he is getting noticed in the process – it can only go up from here for this dynamic act.

April 8, 2021 Collaborative dream-pop act Kids Love Surf unveil song ‘Moments’

Collaborative dream-pop act Kids Love Surf unveil song ‘Moments’

Kids Loves Surf are a collaborative project from Hastings. They were brought together by the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown and decided to make tunes while they had the time. They have been collaborating remotely from March 2020 onwards combining their love of all things dreampop.

The first single ‘OYO’ was championed by BBC Introducing South (they said ‘Dreamy sounds’) and the band have now followed that track up with the very excellent ‘Moment’. They have also picked up plays from Amazing Radio and have had coverage from a lot of blogs like Subba Cultcha and Come Her Floyd to name but a few.

Live is a problem for everyone at the moment but in an ideal world they will be out gigging in late 2021. A November tour is now in the planning stage as well as a follow up to the current single and more tunes should be with us very soon
