Hunger’s latest song ‘Light It Up’ receives an equally inspiring video courtesy of director Raffael Hollitzky
‘Light It Up’ is the latest single from Austrian alternative pop-rock trio Hunger, coming via Born and Raised, with an official video hitting Youtube on the 13th of July directed by Raffael Hollitzky, with his company Vanwegen handling the production.
The video is a warm and magnetizing, featuring a range of striking scenery from an abandoned building and airstrip, to open fields of poppies and country roads. It is a call to adventure, demonstrating the freedom and experience to be gained through fearless exploration. The dynamic cinematography and editing neatly captures the rousing energy of ‘Light It Up’, a track exhibiting the fine chemistry the trio has established over the years.
‘Light It Up’ is the first track of a monthly release cycle leading up to their debut album Mosaik to be released on December 20, 2019. Hunger continues to forge their own sound, one as visceral and evocative as their name suggests.
Hunger had the following to say about their latest single: “’Light It Up’ is about adventures, moments and memories we’ve experienced and still want to experience in our lives. It’s an anthem for going out and to live and experience life and its freedoms. We wrote and recorded the song in a little hut in the Austrian alps. The ‘gospel choir’ halfway through the song was recorded in a tiny kitchen and is basically just the three of us and our producer singing in hundreds of tracks.”
